Thank you all for your patience. The change was made permanently last night. DIYForums.org is now hosted on a different account and location and is under new management. Proceeds from beezar.com are now paying for the DIYForums.org web sites and forum.
1. The DIYForums.org forum is now using the NEW phpBB Version 3. There are no known instances of user spamming with this version (we'll see how long that lasts
). For the time being, the user registration is set as the default for that version, which includes a sophisticated CAPTCHA, but no registration code.
2. Please take note of any issues and send an e-mail or PM through the forum to one of the administrators. There is an issue with the avatars being stretched. However, you should be able to change them back individually through your User Control Panel by setting a square resolution dimension (80 x 80).
3. Also, the spamming of user registrations that had taken place over the last couple of years was purged from the system. However, there are some good users that were deleted if their accounts did not have any posts on record. There may also be some that got deleted by mistake, or have turned "Inactive."
If you think you were a registered user and now find that you cannot access the forum, please attempt to re-register. If you find for some reason that you can't do that, please send a PM or e-mail to an administrator - tomb or n_maher.
4. In the days ahead, you may see some changes as we tweak the forum and its settings. By all means, comments/suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
